MIAMI, FL – Abigail Roberts has joined Carlton Fields’ Construction Practice as of counsel in the firm’s Miami office.
With more than a decade of experience in construction law, Roberts has represented general contractors, developers, design professionals, and other construction entities in areas including construction-related litigation, dispute resolution, appeals, and complex construction defect disputes.
“Carlton Fields has always been the gold standard in terms of professionalism,” said Roberts. “I’ve had the pleasure of working on cases with the firm in the past and am excited to be an official part of the team.”
In addition to her construction practice, Roberts also has experience in the areas of aviation law and appellate practice. She has represented airlines in matters including the Warsaw and Montreal Conventions, negligence actions, security claims, catastrophic injuries, and wrongful death.
“Abby is an experienced, skilled attorney whose ability to manage cases at both the trial and appellate levels will be of immediate value to our clients,” said Cary Wright, chair of Carlton Fields' Construction Practice. “Her addition adds bench strength to our industry-leading roster of litigators as we handle an increasing volume of construction litigation cases.”
Roberts earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Miami in 2007 and her B.A., with highest distinction, from Purdue University in 2003.
