Kathleen McLeroy Receives Florida Bar Pro Bono Award

TAMPA, FL – Carlton Fields’ attorney Kathy McLeroy received the Pro Bono Award from the Florida Bar’s Business Law Section. She was recognized at the section’s dinner during the Annual Florida Bar Convention on June 19.

The award recognizes a member of the Business Law Section who exemplifies the highest ideals of the profession by providing legal services and facilitating and promoting access to justice to persons of limited means or underserved communities.

McLeroy is deeply committed to pro bono work. She has been involved in numerous professional and civic organizations, including Bay Area Legal Services, the Florida Bar Foundation, and the Florida Commission on Access to Civil Justice. McLeroy has represented numerous individuals in pro bono matters, including landlord-tenant disputes, mortgage foreclosure actions, consumer matters, and collection matters. She serves as co-chair of the Florida Bar Pro Bono Legal Services Committee and previously chaired Carlton Fields’ Pro Bono Committee.
