Carlton Fields Adds Health Care Attorney Nathaniel A. Gardner in Tampa

Tampa, Fla. – Carlton Fields is pleased to announce that Nathaniel A. Gardner has joined the firm as an associate in its Tampa office. He is a member of the firm’s nationally ranked Health Care Practice.

The firm’s health care attorneys counsel clients in matters involving compliance, administrative, regulatory, transactions, and litigation. Gardner is a health care attorney with experience in transactional, litigation, and regulatory matters. His compliance work includes advising clients on a variety of health care regulations, including the Stark Law, also known as the physician self-referral law, and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). He has also worked on compliance matters involving Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs).

Gardner earned his J.D. with a Health Law Concentration, magna cum laude, and his Master of Health Administration from Saint Louis University. He earned his B.S., summa cum laude, from Louisiana Tech University. During law school, Gardner worked as an intern at two major health care systems, assisting with transactions and compliance. His MHA degree provides him with additional insight into the challenges and objectives of health care leaders. Gardner is passionate about playing a role in improving access to quality health care.
