Carlton Fields Welcomes Litigator James E. Mitchell in Atlanta
Atlanta, Ga. – Carlton Fields is pleased to announce that James E. Mitchell joined the firm as an associate in Atlanta. He is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation Practice and is one of nine attorneys to join the practice in the past four months.

Mr. Mitchell is a litigator with a decade of experience in commercial disputes, product liability matters, constitutional law litigation, and health law. He defends corporations in all stages of litigation, including managing discovery, taking depositions, drafting and arguing motions, and negotiating settlements.
Prior to joining Carlton Fields, Mr. Mitchell served as clinical supervising attorney and adjunct instructor of law at the Health Law Partnership Legal Services Clinic at Georgia State University College of Law. Earlier in his career, he served as a staff attorney at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, assisting the court in the disposition of a variety of civil and criminal cases. Mr. Mitchell earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from University of Notre Dame Law School, and he earned his B.A. from Northwestern University.
