Carlton Fields’ Lori Baggett Named to Tampa Bay Chamber 2021 Executive Committee

Tampa, Fla. – Carlton Fields is pleased to announce that Tampa Office Managing Shareholder Lori Baggett was named to the Tampa Bay Chamber’s 2021 Executive Committee at the organization’s annual meeting on December 10, 2020. She will serve a one-year term.

The Tampa Bay Chamber is a not-for-profit business membership organization that helps promote the businesses and business interests of members through advocacy, leadership, and opportunities. The firm has been a chamber member since 1947.

Baggett is actively involved in the legal profession and the Tampa Bay community. She is currently a member of the Stetson College of Law Alumni Association Board of Advisors, the Tampa Bay History Center Board of Trustees, the United Way Suncoast Board of Directors, and the WEDU Board of Directors. Baggett also served as chair of the American Bar Association’s Forum on Construction Law Labor and Employment Division, and she is presently serving a three-year term on the Forum’s Governing Committee. In addition, she is a past chair of The Florida Bar’s Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee and a past fellow of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity.

At Carlton Fields, Baggett represents companies in many aspects of labor and employment law, with a particular expertise in workplace safety and health (OSHA) issues. As one of only a handful of Florida lawyers with OSHA 30 certification, she works with clients dealing with fatal and catastrophic accidents and helps them resolve OSHA citations and whistleblower complaints. She also advises and counsels employers on workplace legal compliance issues, conducts internal compliance investigations, and defends employment-related claims.

Baggett earned her J.D., cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law and her B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of South Alabama.
