Litigator Johanna B. Talcott Joins Carlton Fields in Miami
Miami, Fla. – Carlton Fields is pleased to announce that Johanna B. Talcott has joined the firm as an associate in its Miami office. She is a member of the firm’s nationally recognized litigation practice, which includes more than 150 attorneys in 11 offices. Corporate counsel named Carlton Fields a “best of the best” law firm in complex commercial litigation in the recently released BTI Litigation Outlook 2020: Changes, Trends, and Opportunities for Law Firms.
Talcott is a commercial litigator with experience in state and federal matters. She has represented businesses in matters involving city, state, and federal regulations at the trial and appellate level, including co-authoring a U.S. Supreme Court amicus brief. Prior to joining Carlton Fields, Talcott served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Adalberto Jordan of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Before that, she worked for the Institute for Justice and the Pacific Legal Foundation.
She earned her J.D., cum laude, from Florida International School of Law; her M.A. in Anthropology from Pennsylvania State University; and her B.A., cum laude, from the University of Florida.
