Carlton Fields Named Top 5 Firm and Attorneys Named Legal Leaders in 2020 “Legal Elite”

Florida Trend magazine recognizes 20 Carlton Fields attorneys in its 2020 “Florida Legal Elite” list. Carlton Fields is one of the top five firms with the most attorneys on the list, as well as one of the top five firms with the most female honorees.

Six firm attorneys made the Legal Elite Hall of Fame, an accolade honoring those who consistently earn high rankings in Legal Elite surveys. Carlton Fields Shareholder Robert S. Freedman was one of nine attorneys statewide inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2020. Two Carlton Fields lawyers earned the respect and votes of their peers in Florida Legal Elite’s Up & Comers, a section listing the top Florida attorneys under 40.

The Legal Elite, now in its 17th year, recognizes respected Florida lawyers chosen by their peers through the magazine’s statewide attorney surveys. The list of 1,071 honorees represents less than 1.4% of active members of The Florida Bar and includes lawyers practicing at 582 firms in 71 Florida cities.
