Enrique R. Miranda Joins Carlton Fields’ Health Care Practice in Tampa

His hire further advances the firm’s prominent, national Health Care team, which saw six attorney additions throughout the past year in various firm offices.
Miranda is a transactional health care lawyer. He drafts and negotiates business associate agreements, physician employment agreements, and other commercial and corporate documents. He also has experience ensuring regulatory compliance with Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, Stark Law, anti-kickback, and HIPAA and HITECH in health care mergers and acquisitions and other matters.
Prior to joining Carlton Fields, Miranda practiced at the law firm of Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP. He also worked as an extern at Mercy Health in St. Louis, where he researched and analyzed various questions relating to hospital operations and the handling of patient matters to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Miranda received his J.D. from St. Louis University School of Law with a Health Law concentration, and his B.S. in Business Administration from Winthrop University. He is fluent in Spanish.
Miranda is admitted to The Missouri Bar. (Until admission in Florida, any work on Florida matters supervised in accordance with Rule 4-5.3).
