D. Barret Broussard Joins Carlton Fields’ Atlanta Office

Atlanta, Ga. – Carlton Fields is pleased to announce that D. Barret Broussard has joined its Atlanta office as an associate. He will practice in the firm’s Business Litigation practice group.

Broussard litigates business disputes in both federal and state courts. He handles cases involving a range of matters, including theft of trade secrets, breach of contract, tortious interference, and products liability.

Prior to joining the firm, Broussard was an associate at Greenberg Traurig, LLP. He also served as a staff attorney at the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in Atlanta working in its Motions and Screening Units.

He earned his J.D., with honors, from Emory University School of Law, where he was the Executive Articles Editor for the Emory Law Journal and received both the 2012 Myron Penn Laughlin Award for Excellence in Legal Research and Writing and the Class of 1963 Scholarship. He also served as co-president of Emory OUTLaw. He earned his B.S. in Psychology from Brigham Young University.

Broussard is a member of LEAD Atlanta’s Class of 2018. He is a board member and co-chair of the law student outreach committee of the Stonewall Bar Association of Georgia, and a board member of O.U.T. (the young professional chapter of the Atlanta Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce). He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia.
