Carlton Fields Adds Three Business Litigators

The litigators bolster a practice that includes more than 150 attorneys in 10 offices across the country. Corporate counsel named the firm a “Litigation Powerhouse” in a number of litigation areas including Complex Commercial Litigation in the recently released 2019 BTI Litigation Outlook. Carlton Fields is also ranked a top law firm for Commercial Litigation in the 2018 U.S. News - Best Lawyers “Best Law Firms” list.
Chee will work from the firm’s Miami and Washington, D.C., offices. His practice focuses on business litigation, including environmental law matters. He has significant experience as a trial lawyer, including nearly 40 jury trials he conducted during his service as an Assistant State Attorney at the Miami-Dade County State Attorney’s Office. There, Chee was selected as a member of the Economic Crimes Unit where specialized in the prosecution and investigation of complex fraud and financial crimes.
Chee also has experience in intellectual property law. He counseled clients ranging from startups to large corporations, including several international companies. He earned his J.D. from American University’s Washington College of Law, his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Ottawa, and his Bachelor of Engineering with First Class Distinction from the Royal Military College of Canada. Chee is fluent in French. He is a member of The Florida Bar and The District of Columbia Bar.
Clements is based in the firm’s Orlando office. Her practice focuses on civil litigation for business clients, primarily construction entities. She has experience in a variety of civil litigation defense areas including bad faith insurance claims, transportation and automobile litigation, products liability, premises liability, and negligent security cases. Before joining Carlton Fields, she was an associate with Wicker, Smith, O’Hara, McCoy, & Ford in Orlando.
She earned two degrees from the University of Florida: her J.D., cum laude, and her B.S. in Public Relations, summa cum laude. She is a member of The Florida Bar.
Forrest will work from the firm’s Miami and Los Angeles offices. His diverse legal experience includes products liability and class action litigation, as well as administrative and international law matters. Prior to joining the firm, Forrest served as a law clerk to the Honorable Sheri Polster Chappell in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. He drafted proposed orders in both civil and criminal cases, assisted with evidentiary hearings and trials, and conducted legal research for the court. Before that, Forrest was an associate attorney at Patino & Associates, where he managed a caseload that included state and federal class action litigation. He advised clients on areas including trademark law and exporting to Cuba, and he worked with members of Congress to form a pediatric cancer research reform bill.
Forrest earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law. He graduated with a B.A. in Communications from Benedictine University. He is admitted to practice law in Florida and California.
