ALM’s Law Journal Newsletters conducted a Q&A with Christina Gagnier. The article, “Start-Ups, Cyber Attacks and Regulations,” discusses cyber issues specific to start-ups and small businesses.

When asked about the common threads in the state regulations that affect small businesses and startups in particular, Gagnier said, “The commonalities with these state regulations include ensuring that consumers are notified of a business’ data practices, that they have given meaningful consent to the collection and use of their data, and that they have the ability to exercise certain rights related to that data”
