EEOC Gets New Chair, But Major Policy Changes Likely Will Have to Wait
Carlton Fields labor and employment attorney Rae T. Vann was quoted in an HR Daily Advisor article about the new chair of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Charlotte Burrows. Vann shared her thoughts on the outlook for the EEOC’s policy proposals now that the commission is chaired by a Democrat, while Republicans still hold the majority of EEOC seats.
“While we may not see many, if any, new policy proposals requiring a commission vote —especially ones that would purport to undo any of the prior administration’s actions — the Republicans ostensibly will be unable to advance partisan policy changes either, even though they technically are in the majority right now,” Vann told the publication.
