States Set the Stage for Major Privacy Compliance Changes for 2023

Carlton Fields cybersecurity attorney Christina Gagnier recently authored an article for CISO Mag, titled, “States Set the Stage for Major Privacy Compliance Changes for 2023,” discussing the similarities and differences between the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), the Colorado Privacy Act (CPA), and the Virginia Consumer Data Privacy Act (VCDPA).

“As 2022 and 2023 prove to be the new compliance deadlines for this series of laws, businesses should begin turning their attention to these statutes, which are more involved and nuanced than their predecessor, the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA),” Gagnier advises.
