Carlton Fields’ Steven Blickensderfer Quoted in Los Angeles Times on Regulatory Outlook for Video Games

Carlton Fields esports attorney Steven Blickensderfer was quoted by the Los Angeles Times in an article about a recent executive order banning U.S. companies from doing business with the Chinese entities behind TikTok and WeChat. The order raised questions for the video game industry, said Blickensderfer, who co-chairs Carlton Fields’ Esports and Electronic Gaming Practice.

“Gaming is so closely tied with China,” Blickensderfer said. “This brought the trade war to the gaming industry and made it very real — even though this might be a false alarm, who’s to say that there won’t be another one right behind it?”
