What Ever Happened to the Proposed GDPR Fines Against Marriott, British Airways?

Carlton Fields cybersecurity and privacy attorney Steven Blickensderfer was quoted in a Legaltech News article about delays in finalizing proposed fines against Marriott and British Airways under the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Blickensderfer noted that the proposed fines are some of the largest fines ever levied under the GDPR.

“It will be something companies and industries will use to determine the cost of doing business,” Blickensderfer told the publication. “It’s an important test case for GDPR enforcement going forward.”
