Rae Vann Comments on Status of Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP): Law360

Carlton Fields Labor and Employment attorney, Rae Vann, was quoted in a Law360 article, “DOL Contractor Watchdog Head Tapped To Monitor OPM.”

On Monday, February 3, President Donald Trump announced plans to nominate the head of the U.S. Department of Labor office that monitors federal contractors for discrimination to be inspector general of the Office of Personnel Management.

Vann, whose practice includes advising employers on OFCCP compliance, told Law360 that the possible departure is surprising because it will be “in the midst of a number of new and pending policy initiatives, as well as ongoing efforts to ensure greater efficiency and transparency and overall better communication." Vann hopes that the transition is smooth and “will not cause new uncertainty around how OFCCP carries out its enforcement activities and interacts with federal contractors.”
