Clark Lackert Authors Intellectual Property Magazine Article About Trademarks in Space

Carlton Fields intellectual property attorney Clark Lackert authored an article in Intellectual Property Magazine about the importance of securing a trademark regulatory structure in space.

Currently, there is no concrete international agreement on how to handle intellectual property in space, something that Lackert says should be remedied immediately.

Lackert theorizes several approaches to stretch trademark protection in space, including just assuming jurisdiction of space now, amending the current World Intellectual Property Organization Madrid Protocol trademark registration treaty, or producing a new treaty specifically for intellectual property in space.
