Florida Legislation to Watch in 2020

Carlton Fields’ Senior Director of Government Consulting Beth Vecchioli was quoted in a Law360 article titled, “Florida Legislation to Watch in 2020,” about the state’s ambitious legislation agenda for the coming year.

After a productive first year in power for the new governor, House speaker, and Senate president, it is predicted that the government will continue to push forward in the priority areas of the environment, health care, transportation and infrastructure, medical marijuana, and gaming.

“It [really] depends on the leaders in the Senate and House,” said Vecchioli. “From what I've seen, which is encouraging, they do seem willing to tackle some big issues. I'm not really seeing them shying away because it's an election year.”
