Georgia Super Lawyers Features Carlton Fields Attorney Steven S. Sidman

Carlton Fields Atlanta attorney Steven S. Sidman was profiled in the March 2018 issue of Georgia Super Lawyers.

The article, “Courtroom Confidential: How Steve Sidman serves his celebrity-chef clients,” described how the budding musician turned his sights to the law after working at a firm with “a small, but influential entertainment practice.” Sidman then worked for Joel Katz, one of the nation’s top entertainment lawyers, in Atlanta. “I took on any work they gave me. Fame came years later after he helped an old musician buddy Nick Kokonas, who invested in the high-end Chicago restaurant Alinea, with a cookbook deal. Alinea, helmed by chef Grant Achatz, had been named the best restaurant in the country by Gourmet magazine.

The success of the cookbook led to Sidman assembling a roster of top chefs, which he represents, including Linton Hopkins, Steven Satterfield, Richard Blais, and others.

“At the end of the day, we are about helping people create things,” Sidman said.
